IPPH Knowledge Mobilization for Research Impact
Knowledge Mobilization (KM) is core to CIHR-IPPH's commitments, activities and values as a research funder. IPPH's KM activities and efforts are intended to maximize the impact of research with the ultimate goal of enhancing equitable health outcomes, by:
- Convening and connecting researchers, decision-makers, community leaders, policy makers, practitioners and more;
- Promoting the use/uptake of research findings, evidence and impacts in policy and practice;
- Supporting communities with the knowledge they need to advance and promote their own health; and
- Amplifying the voices of equity-denied and rights-holding groups to shape research priorities and processes;

| Moving Upstream |
Moving Upstream Catalyst Grants: Knowledge Mobilization Workshop hosted by IPPH in partnership with the National Collaborating Centre for Health Determinants of Health (NCCDH) Designed first and foremost to facilitate knowledge exchange and mobilization across Moving Upstream research teams, the workshop aimed to strengthen collaboration, highlight shared challenges and opportunities, and support this cohort conducting research on the structural determinants of health.

Canadian Journal of Public Health: From the Lalonde Report to the structural determinants of health. Kate Frohlich maps out the history, legacy and arc from Marc Lalonde's 1974 Canadian report on health promotion, to IPPH's initiative 'Moving Upstream on Structural Determinants of Health'. This new initiative seeks to move the needle on equitable health promotion and close the research-policy-practice gap in Canada.
