Priority 3.1 Investing in Sex and Gender Research for Equity - 2S/LGBTQI+ health
The populations of 2S/LGBTQI+ people in Canada are growing, yet there is a dearth of intersectional, interdisciplinary, strengths-based, community-driven research on the health needs of these communities. This contributes to 2S/LGBTQI+ health inequities and limits capacity for the development and implementation of evidence-informed policies aimed at addressing these inequities.
To address these inequities, IGH's Research Priority Plan 2024-2029, Priority 3 - Investing in Sex and Gender Research for Health Equity, specifically includes a focus on Two-Spirit and LGBTQI+ health.
