Meet new members of the COVID-19 and Mental Health Initiative Expert Advisory Panel

From the outset of the COVID-19 and Mental Health (CMH) Initiative, the external Expert Advisory Panel (EAP) has been a crucial resource to identify and advise on knowledge gaps, supporting Canadians’ mental health and substance use needs during the pandemic. The Canadian Institutes of Health Research (CIHR), Health Canada (HC) and the Public Health Agency of Canada (PHAC) are pleased to welcome three new members to the CMH Initiative EAP:

The EAP meets monthly to provide subject matter expertise in the fields of mental health, substance use, health services, social services, psychology and more. They also advise CIHR, HC and PHAC on how to access and mobilize the best evidence to support the mental health and substance use needs of Canadians in the COVID-19 context.
