Notice of Upcoming Funding Opportunity: Pan-Canadian 2S/LGBTQI+ Knowledge-to-Action Hub
Introduction
The Canadian Institutes of Health Research (CIHR) Institute of Gender and Health is pleased to announce the upcoming launch of the Pan-Canadian 2S/LGBTQI+ Knowlegde-to-Action Hub funding opportunity.
Overview
The overall purpose of this funding opportunity is to establish a national hub that strengthens evidence synthesis, knowledge mobilization (KM), and data stewardship for 2S/LGBTQI+ health research in Canada.
The specific objective(s) of this funding opportunity are to:
- Strengthen and coordinate national evidence synthesis and gap identification for 2S/LGBTQI+ Health: maintaining an up-to-date pulse of Canadian 2S/LGBTQI+ health research and producing accessible, bilingual evidence and policy briefs identifying key gaps.
- Mobilize knowledge into equitable policy and practice through high-quality, culturally grounded implementation supports: co-developing culturally safe, plain-language KM products (e.g., action packages, policy briefs, community tools) and offering technical assistance to support equitable uptake across diverse health and community systems.
- Enhance national data stewardship, security, and methodological capacity to support high-quality 2S/LGBTQI+ health research: providing national guidance on data governance, privacy safeguards, culturally safe data protocols, open-access data standards, and a repository of validated methods, measures and analytical guidance.
