Call for Interest: CIHR’s Stem Cell Oversight Committee Membership

The Canadian Institutes of Health Research (CIHR) is seeking individuals with basic science and/or clinical expertise in stem cell biology or other relevant research domains to join the Stem Cell Oversight Committee (SCOC).

SCOC is a committee of CIHR’s Governing Council and its mandate is to review research applications involving human stem cells to ensure compliance with TCPS 2 and advise Governing Council on matters related to human stem cell research in Canada.

We strongly encourage applications from individuals who identify as Francophone. Francophone representation on SCOC is crucial to enhancing the diversity of perspective on SCOC, to better reflect the composition of the Canadian population and ensure a robust review of research applications submitted in French.

Francophone individuals with scientific and/or clinical expertise in areas of reproduction, developmental biology, medical genetics, stem cell biology, molecular biology, therapeutics and cellular pathology.
