Woman of Impact – Dr. Charu Kaushic

Dr. Charu Kaushic has been chosen as a Woman of Impact in honour of her high level of achievement in science; in particular, her leadership in the study of infectious diseases. As the Scientific Director of CIHR-III, Dr. Kaushic has been at the forefront of Canada’s research response to the COVID-19 pandemic.

Awarded by Women and Gender Equality Canada, the Women of Impact in Canada are courageous women who have made an impact in their field. Dr. Kaushic is being inducted into the STEM category, which stands for science, technology, engineering and mathematics.
