Lay Summary

Study enrolment was launched in January 2020. To date, the team has enrolled 43 participants (24 cases, 19 controls). The study received approval mid-February to begin recruiting francophone participants. We Ottawa’s case pool from 6 months prior has been small with only 1-5 cases per day to contact. We anticipate recruitment increasing in the next week or two as the test-positivity rate in Ottawa began to increase again 6 months ago.
