Introduction

The Canadian Institutes of Health Research (CIHR) under the scientific leadership of the Institute of Infection and Immunity (III), in partnership with the Institute of Aging (IA), the Institute of Population and Public Health (IPPH), and the Public Health Agency of Canada (PHAC) is pleased to announce the upcoming launch of the Community Based Research in Climate Change Priority Areas Funding Opportunity.

Overview

The purpose of this funding opportunity is to support the partnered work of communities and researchers in knowledge development and capacity-building initiatives of relevance to communities working to combat the differential health impacts of climate change.

Funds Available

The total amount available for this funding opportunity is anticipated to be $1,625,000, enough to fund approximately 13 grants at a maximum amount of $125,000 per grant per year for up to one year.
