Centre for Research on Pandemic Preparedness and Health Emergencies – Meet the team
The Centre for Research on Pandemic Preparedness and Health Emergencies is led by an Executive Director and is composed of seven full-time staff members. This core group is complemented by employees from existing groups bringing different expertise on a part-time basis. They are expected to work in a proactive manner to ensure that the best resources are organized and aligned before a crisis hits.
The Research Centre team has been meeting on a weekly basis to discuss the roles and responsibilities of the Research Centre and putting them into action.
Within the next few months, the Research Centre will focus on the following activities:
- Establishing a governance model;
- Establishing standard operating procedures based on lessons learned, literature, etc;
- Determining grants & awards investments; and
- Raising awareness of the Research Centre's work.
