Pre-Announcement: AIDS 2022 Conference Travel Awards (anticipatory)

The Canadian Institutes of Health Research (CIHR) Institute of Infection and Immunity (III) and the CIHR HIV/AIDS and STBBI Research Initiative are pleased to provide information on a potential funding opportunity anticipated to be launched in the near future.

While this funding opportunity has yet to be finalized, CIHR is providing preliminary information at this time to allow the community to prepare and respond to the competition.

Description

CIHR’s HIV/AIDS and STBBI Research Initiative, with strategic leadership from the CIHR Institute of Infection and Immunity, will provide funding to applicants (trainees, early career researchers, community-based researchers, applications with a primary focus on Indigenous Health Research) requesting support to attend the 24th International AIDS Conference (AIDS 2022). AIDS 2022, which is the largest gathering on HIV and AIDS in the world, is being organized by the International AIDS Society (IAS) and will take place from July 29-August 2, 2022 in Montreal, Canada. This award is intended to support individual participating to the event either in person or virtually.
