Partnerships
Making Canadians healthier and building an effective healthcare system requires the effort of many people and organizations.
Partnering with CIHR can help you achieve your goals whether you are interested in
- funding health research
- building health research capacity
- translating research knowledge into outcomes
- setting research priorities
- using resources more effectively
- sharing best practices
How to partner with CIHR
Partnering with CIHR starts with a conversation. Together, we can determine how to partner in a way that meets our shared goals and objectives. This may include:
- joining a funding opportunity that is already being planned by one of CIHR's Institutes
- launching a new funding opportunity in collaboration with CIHR
- partnering through one of CIHR's initiatives
Partnership Playbook - An Overview to Partnering on CIHR’s Funding Opportunities
While partnering with CIHR can take many forms, the Partnership Playbook focuses on competition partnerships – how partners can collaborate with CIHR to co-fund health research. This document takes partners through the principles that guide CIHR's engagement approach, our key parameters for partnering, and the steps involved in the overall competition partnership process.
International and global health collaborations
As part of its mission, CIHR seeks to foster effective Canadian involvement in international health research that benefits Canadians and the global community.
