eHealth Innovations Initiative: Partners

The eHealth Innovations Partnerships Program (eHIPP) is intended to stimulate the design, testing, evaluation and spread of evidence-based eHealth solutions that are grounded in the needs of patient groups and populations.

The initiative will accomplish this by leveraging the technology innovation industry as partners. eHIPP will support inter-sectoral collaboration of researchers, health systems, end-users (health care innovation communities) and industry. Industry partners will team up with health care innovation communities to improve outcomes, patient experience and health care efficiencies in the two eHIPP priority areas:

  • Early detection of and intervention for youth (11-25 years of age) with mental health conditions
  • Seniors with complex care needs in their homes and communities

What is a health care innovation community?

Who is an industry partner?

The development of partnerships and collaborative working arrangements among researchers, patients, community groups, health system leaders and industry will be required to securing parallel funding.

A series of regional workshops and webinars will occur in advance of the June 2015 application deadline.

These workshops will provide a meeting and partnership platform for prospective health care innovation communities and industry partners. Meanwhile the webinars will provide information for prospective applicants to enhance the competitiveness of their applications.

Participation in a regional workshop or webinar is not required in order to submit an eHIPP application.
